Brighten Learning – Cancellation and Refund Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy governs the terms under which cancellations and refunds are offered for subscriptions and licenses purchased from Brighten Learning, Inc. (“Brighten Learning,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy applies to all access to and use of Brighten Learning’s websites, web portals, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

By purchasing a subscription, license, or otherwise accessing the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Cancellation & Refund Policy. If you do not agree to this policy, you should not purchase or use the Services.

Cancellation Window

You may cancel your subscription within 7 days of the date your subscription is activated or access to the service is first provided, whichever occurs first.

To request a cancellation, please email contact@brightenlearning.com or schedule a call with our team. Cancellation requests must be submitted within the 7‑day window to be eligible for any refund.

Refund Eligibility

Refunds are issued based on the original payment method as outlined below:

  • Payments Made by Check
    Subscriptions purchased by check are eligible for a full refund if cancelled within the 7‑day cancellation window.
  • Payments Made via Credit Card, ACH, or Other Online Payment Methods
    Subscriptions purchased using electronic payment methods are eligible for a partial refund if cancelled within the 7‑day cancellation window. Any approved refund will be issued less the equivalent of one month of subscription fees, which is retained to offset non‑refundable processing, access, and administrative costs.

Non-Refundable Payments

Cancellations submitted after the 7‑day cancellation window are non‑refundable, regardless of payment method.

Refund eligibility is based on the service start date and is not dependent on invoicing terms, payment receipt, or payment clearance.

Third-Party Marketplaces

If you purchased your license or subscription through a third‑party vendor, including the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or any other external platform, your cancellation and refund must be processed directly through that vendor and are subject to their respective policies.

This applies specifically to mobile app subscriptions and any purchases made through an indirect vendor or third‑party marketplace. Brighten Learning does not have the ability to issue refunds for purchases made through external platforms.

Refund Processing

Refunds may take up to 30 days from the date of request, but are typically processed within a few business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, unless otherwise noted.

  • Refunds, when applicable, are issued to the original form of payment.
  • Processing times may vary depending on the payment method and financial institution.
  • This policy applies to all plans unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.
