For the vast majority of schools and districts, everything listed above is fully included.
Some organizations, however, require extended or highly specialized onboarding; such as UDIPP‑style multi‑stage reviews involving instructional evaluation, data‑privacy audits, security assessments, and LMS/SSO compatibility checks. These processes involve significant additional administrative work and may require a tailored quote and supplemental fees.

Trial Request Policy
Schools and districts can request a free 7‑day trial to explore our platform. Trials begin the day they’re activated and run for a full week. At this time, trials aren’t available for single‑user licenses or home users.
We review each request to make sure it meets our eligibility criteria, and we reserve the right to approve or decline trial access as needed. Our goal is simply to ensure trials are used for genuine school or district evaluations.

Disclaimer: License features and access terms may change in the future. Certain tools intended for institutional customers, such as district‑level reporting, group management, or additional premium content, may not continue to be included in Single‑User Licenses.
Any adjustments will apply only to future renewal periods. Your access will not change during your current subscription term, and we will provide advance notice so you can plan your renewal accordingly.

License Restrictions
By purchasing a Single‑User License, you agree to Brighten Learning’s Acceptable Use Policy and Terms of Use. This license is issued to one individual user, with limited flexibility for household and instructional use.
Account Use
The account may be used by the licensed individual and, when applicable, parents or guardians within the same household supporting the same learner(s). Login sharing beyond this context, such as with colleagues, staff, or additional educators, is not permitted.
Instructional Use
Single‑User License holders may use the program in their own classroom or small‑group instructional setting, including projecting or guiding students during lessons.
This license is not intended for large‑scale, multi‑educator, or institutional delivery such as:
- schoolwide or multi‑classroom usage
- conference, workshop, or professional development presentation
- environments where multiple educators or staff rely on the same account
If your use extends beyond one individual’s instruction or household needs, an institutional license is required.
Not Compatible With Institutional Licenses
To keep licensing fair and consistent, Single‑User accounts are for one individual only. If your needs grow beyond that, we’ll help you transition to the right institutional tier.
Compliance, Regulatory, and Administrative Requirements
This license is strictly for individual use only and is not intended for organizations that require compliance, regulatory, or administrative support.
We will not assess or question whether you, your school, or your clinic requires documentation or compliance‑related assistance. However, if you request help with any of the following:
- compliance or regulatory documentation
- audits or reporting
- district or organizational onboarding
- administrative forms or verification
- UDIPP or similar program requirements
- any other organizational compliance processes
These services will be billed at our prevailing hourly rate, with a minimum charge of one (1) hour per request, unless otherwise pre‑discussed or expressly waived by a member of our team.
This policy does not mean we are unwilling to support compliance requirements; rather, it indicates that the Single‑User License is not the appropriate tier for customers who need compliance services included as part of their license. Organizations that require these services should select one of our institutional licensing tiers, where compliance and administrative support are fully covered.

If you purchased your license or subscription through a third‑party vendor, including the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, or any other external platform, your cancellation and refund must be processed directly through that vendor, in accordance with their policies. This applies specifically to mobile app subscriptions and any purchases made through an indirect vendor, such as an external app store or third‑party marketplace.
