I found the program and curriculum to be engaging and in alignment with our standards for Transition and Planning, as well as Unique Skills. Students are able to work on self-regulation and executive functioning, while being provided with choices to take ownership of how their day will unfold. Additionally, students are prompted with opportunities that allow them to choose a path and receive an immediate consequence for their choice (packing/bringing lunch/versus buying lunch at their job site). The social skill building activities built into the program would help students tremendously while preparing for job placement and employment, right down to “what to do” if you have a need that should be discussed with a supervisor.
The curriculum and videos on the Google slides can easily be transferred over to PowerPoint and would provide our teachers with an excellent curriculum resources that aligns to our standards. Overall, I do feel like this curriculum would be highly sought after and utilized daily in our transition courses, and perhaps extended transition as well.
